Elisabeth Children's Home

In the year 1989 Rev. John Satish George and his wife Marja from Holland, with the help of sponsors from The Netherlands opened the Elisabeth Children’s Home in Pendra Road, a small place in Central India. They started with ten poor children in a rented house. Though there was little money the Lord blessed the work. With a gift from a believer in Holland they were able to build a children’s home. Children from poor widows and poor families, native pastors and evangelists and a few orphans receive shelter, food, education and medical aid. Some of the elder boys and girls are studying in College and University. The children, who finished their education through the help of sponsors, are doing well. Most of them are married and some have become teachers and nurses. Many children went to Bible College and are serving the Lord in different places in India. Two girls have married Dutch believers and are living in Holland. They are serving the Lord with their husbands in the church. One girl is working in Belgium. What a great things the Lord has done in the lives of these poor and needy children through the monthly gifts of sacrificial sponsors. This scripture in Psalm 113:7 has been fulfilled in the lives of these children. He raises the poor out of the dust and lifts the needy out of the dung hill.

Bethel Full Gospel Church

The first few years the Sunday morning worship was held on the verandah of the Elisabeth Children’s Home. More and more people began to attend the meetings and the number of children increased. A big revival among the children and youths broke out in the year l995.The children accepted the Lord Jesus as their personal Savior and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. These children began to see visions and prophesied. Hundreds of people took water baptism and received the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Today many of them are in the ministry. The Lord gave faith for a church building, which was needed desperately. Daily the staff and children prayed for a church building and miraculously a lady from Holland was inspired by the Lord to give a gift to build a beautiful church. This church was dedicated in April 1997. In the year 2004 the church was enlarged and a dining hall was built through the gift of the foundation ‘Christian Support’ in Holland. Through this extension about 350 people are able to sit in the church to hear the word of the Lord and to worship Him. Now again the church has to be enlarged.

Dining Hall

There are many activities for the children. There are picnics in the beautiful country-side and there are often open air dinner parties on the campus or the rice field at the side of the school. There are song-festivals, sports days and drawing competitions in which the children win many prizes.

Playing in the Elisabeth Campus

The children play volleyball, badminton , basketball, gubbadi and coco in the campus. The boys play cricket in the play ground of the Elisabeth School. Small and big children play in the play garden and swim in the small swimming pool.
